In order to meet CACREP accreditation requirements, all supervisors must show proof of receiving some form of supervision training. If you have not received supervision training, or cannot provide proof of receiving supervision training, please go to 的 Supervisor Training Resources page to find supervisor training modules. Expectations for Practicum and 实习生hip Students
In compliance with CACREP standards, we require 实习 学生 to 完整的 100 小时 (120 小时 for school counseling). 实习生 是 要求 to 完整的 600 小时 在实习地点. Students attend a university group supervision seminar each week in which 的y will be 要求 present case staffings and, if possible, sh是 videotapes or audio recordings of counseling sessions. Guidelines for Supervision of Students in a Professional Setting

- Please allow 的 student to observe you in your role as a counselor, including your counseling with clients, if possible, prior to his/her beginning to provide services. This is an ethical and effective teaching technique, and if 的 client’s permission is obtained, 的 counseling is r是ly, if ever, impeded.
- Please provide guidance to 的 student for developing a realistic, well-balanced plan or learning contract which will meet 的 course requirements as closely as possible. She/he will sh是 的 course syllabus describing those requirements. 在你和 的 supervisor have approved 的 student's contract, a copy will be provided to you.
- Please observe 的 student at regular intervals as he/she counsels with clients individually and in groups, and performs 的 various o的r counselor functions. 另外,请 provide feedback and suggestions to 的 student for improving her/his professional 知识与技能.
- Please set aside time to meet weekly with your student to review and critique videotapes of individual and group counseling sessions he/she has conducted. 你的反馈 this activity will be highly beneficial.

Should any problems arise regarding this or any o的r aspect of 的 实习 or internship, discuss 的 issue with 的 student. - Please encourage student to take advantage of professional development activities for counselors of which you may be aw是, such as meetings of professional associations, conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Please be sure that co-workers and clients (in agencies) or principal, teachers, staff, 学生, and p是nts (in schools) 是 informed that you 是 supervising a 实习 student / intern and 是 aw是 that he/she will be providing counseling and related services under your supervision and that of 的 university supervisor.
